Ce.S.A.R. works mainly in the following activity areas:

Training Activities
CeSAR is recognised by the Region Umbria and by the ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a Centre of international Training. Such activity of training is meant for national and/or international users, with courses of different nature and length, organized referring to the continuous scientific, technologic and legislative evolution. The training is addressed to different professions, such as directors or entrepreneurial figures, working in several economic sectors. During the last years CeSAR organized many post-graduate courses and lifelong learning courses, activated thanks to the European Social Fund.

Study-Research-Consultancy Activities
Realized in close collaboration with the university of Perugia, such activity is explained as research about the local and territorial development, the agriculture, the agroindustrial sector, about the valorisation and preservation of the natural and environmental resources.

Activity of support to local institutions
CeSAR supports the local institutions in the composition of: local and territorial development programs, local development policies, realization of social-economic inquiries, finalized to the writing of the P.R.G. (development plan), or trading plans. Besides that, CeSAR helps the local institutions to find and prepare the application forms for community programs and calls for tender, both national and regional.

Information
By CeSAR it’s active the front office Europe Direct Carrefour Umbria, making part of the official network EUROPE DIRECT, a network spread over the whole community territory. Such information points are meant to get citizens involved with information, initiatives and events about all the European matters. http://ec.europa.eu/europedirect

Environment
The activity regarding environment matters is carried out by assisting the phase of projecting, studying and realization of operations regarding environmental problems and more in general problems concerning the sustainable development of certain territories (activation of procedures Local Agenda 21;studies concerning managing plans areas SIC-ZPS o ZSC; procedures for environmental approval certificate for public and private institutions , etc.

International cooperation
CeSAR, thanks to the ministry and international programs, works within the Community countries and third countries, dealing with cooperation activities of technical - legal matters, and also within the training and scientific research fields. Such activities are realized in close partnership with the faculty of agriculture and the university of Perugia, under the supervision of a staff of professors and international experts.
